SNY and Metsblog.com are reporting that there are talks between the Dodgers and the Mets for a Jones for Castillo trade.  I have to say I don’t hate this idea.  Sure Jones will get A LOT of money…. WAY TOO MUCH in fact, but he would give the Mets a right handed bat to hit 5th or 6th in the order, and a Gold Glove OF in LF.  Let’s not forget, Jones came up as a left fielder, so it won’t be unfamilar terrian for him either.

The other big plus of this trade is it would rid the Mets of Castillo.  If the Mets are actually getting this offer, I say go for it.  But I am sure that this would require them to toss in prospects as well, and I think if that is the case, it would depend on which prospects.

All in all, I don’t hate this offer but I would need more info.
