Former Red Sox infielder Alex Cora has agreed to a one-year, $2 million deal with the New York Mets. The 33-year-old Cora played with Boston from July 7, 2005 — when he was traded from Cleveland for infielder Ramon Vazquez — through last season.

The upside is they have got a untily IF who can play multiple positions including 2B, SS, and 3B.

Cora is a veteran, and is only 33, as compared to Easily who was 39.  I also like the fact that he is one of those players who can bind a club together with leadership.  He has 11 years of MLB service and he has played on championship teams before(Boston).

The downside is they paid $2 million for him. He also has a career .245 Batting Average.  He is a slick fielder, but doesn’t do anything outstanding offensively.
