Niese sent to the minors
Jonathan Niese packed up the last of his belongings and got ready for the short trip to Minor League camp, Jonathon Niese stood in a parking lot and reflected on his past week.Three days earlier, his body of work lost its luster when Josh Anderson drilled a two-run homer off him at Disney’s Wide World of Sports. One day later, Livan Hernandez pitched five rather effective innings against the same Braves team at home, pushing Niese closer to this fate.
“Maybe if I didn’t throw that curveball to Anderson, it would have been different,” Niese said, in a voice somewhat skeptical of the words it was speaking. “Everything happens for a reason.”
