Oliver Perez Stinks it up again!

The question was, which Oliver Perez was going to show up at the game today as the Mets took on the Reds.

The answer was, the head case who can’t throw a strike when he needs to.  The line on Perez today reads as follows:  4.1 IP 5 Hits 5 BB 8 ER 7K.   Perez threw 100 pitches while on the mound, and was pulled after letting 6 runs score.  He left 2 men on base, who scored off of a hit off of reliever Darren O’Day.

The end result was that the bullpen got more outs than the starter Perez, the man who the Mets signed to a 3 year $36 million dollar deal this off season.  If the Mets hope to contend this season, 1 out of 2 things has to happen, either Perez needs to be benched, or they need to trade him.

 That’s my 2 cents… I’d love to hear yours.
